Martinmas bazaar & lantern walk

Who: Everyone is invited! See the schedule below for workshops and fun events for people of all ages.

What: Card-making station, local handcraft shopping for the holidays, and lantern-lit walk through the woods!

When: 1-8pm on November 12, 2022

Where: St. Francis of the Woods' Community Center and trails in Coyle, OK (between Guthrie and Stillwater)

Cost: FREE admission with donation of new or like-new hat, coat, or mittens, or brand-new warm socks (some crafts are listed with registration cost to cover materials)

Safety: Please bring a mask for indoor activities, including shopping, workshops, and card making (we will have signs the day-of with guidance based on current COVID status at the time of the event).

Holiday Handcraft Shopping Bazaar

1-4pm in the Community Center

gift-making Activities

1-3:30pm Lantern-Making Station

Kids and adults alike are invited to design and decoupage a colorful glass lantern of your own
to bring on the evening's after-dark trail walk (see below). Drop in any time between 1-3:30, allowing about 30 minutes to complete your lantern.

2-3:30pm Warming Teas for Gifting & Holiday Enjoyment with Lori Ann of Prairiewood Forest School

Learn about warming herbs and make your own giftable tea blend! Workshop lasts 1.5 hours.

1-4pm Holiday Art Card Making Station

Drop by to collage a holiday art card to send your friends! All supplies provided. No cost but donations are accepted.

Fall Photo Booth

2-5pm on the St. Francis Grounds

Drop in to have your/your family's photograph taken against the backdrop of our lovely property!

Lantern Walk Event

4:30-8pm beginning at the Arboretum,
proceeding through the trails, and back to the firepit by the pond

4:30-5pm Talk on St. Martin the Merciful with Fr Aidan

5-5:30pm Children's Martinmas Storytime with Lori Ann

5:30-6pm Lantern Walk Songs & Lighting of Lanterns

6:30-8pm Bonfire & S'mores
